The Meze 99 Classics have been turning heads since 2015. A decade later, the 2nd Gen arrives with refinements that respect the original’s warmth and craftsmanship while adding modern engineering improvements. The same walnut wood cups, self-adjusting headband, and easygoing comfort return, and are joined by new tuning options, upgraded architecture, and fully serviceable construction.

Real walnut

Every pair starts with solid walnut. The cups are CNC-machined, then hand-finished, stained, and polished to reveal the grain’s natural depth. Walnut is tough, lightweight, and acoustically resonant, lending a gentle warmth to the sound. Durable enough to last years and refined enough to display on your desk.

Two tonalities in one

The 2nd Gen ships with a set of acoustic absorbers that let you tailor the sound to your taste. Leave them out for a more neutral, open presentation, or install them for a warmer, closer signature reminiscent of the original 99 Classics. Either way, the character is unmistakably Meze—smooth, detailed, and never fatiguing.

Comfort that adapts to you

A self-adjusting headband made from vegan leather and spring steel distributes weight automatically across your head. The result is a comfortable, secure fit that disappears as soon as the music starts.

Ear pads built to last

The new clip-in ear pad system uses six secure clips per pad for easy replacement or cleaning. Crafted from medium-density foam and soft vegan leather, they form a lasting seal that enhances bass response while keeping long sessions fatigue-free.
